As a geologist and petrologist, I am interested in how rocks, minerals, and glasses record the geologic processes that ultimately lead to natural hazards. I combine field work with laboratory analyses, models, and experiments to characterize the conditions and timescales that lead to natural disasters like volcanic eruptions and earthquakes.

I started as an Assistant Professor of Earth & Environment at Albion College (MI) in August 2026.
