As a geologist and petrologist, I am interested in how rocks, minerals, and glasses record the geologic processes that ultimately lead to natural hazards. I combine field work with laboratory analyses and experiments to characterize the conditions and timescales that lead to natural disasters like volcanic eruptions and earthquakes.

I am currently a postdoctoral scholar at University of Washington.
